What are you guy`s using to pack your lipos?

I am wondering what guy`s are using to transport there Lipo Batteries to and from the Field. Is there a company out there making anything?

Thanks

For 3S1P 2100 and smaller, I use a regular tackle box that has the all the "stuff" needed for foamie planes, I just put them on a towel above all the other items in the box. With 4S1P and above packs, I take them in my storage tool box or fire safe, since I can't fit them into the smaller tackle box.. I store them in the "Sentry" fire proof safes.

Reason I ask is i was looking at my Align heli Case and the foam thats in it and the cut outs for batts. I then thought of all the Airplane guy`s and wonderd what we were all using. The Align case gives great Protection for the Lipo Batt in Two ways First off they are pretty hard to damage incased in a case and FoamNumber 2 you do not have to worry about the leads shorting together.

here is my first prototype
I was not able to use EPP type foam on this one but they are still Held in securly

And of course a damage Lipo would not go back in with the others

I use the same method, except instead of foam, I use ceiling tile with the red "fire' caulk spread over the c-tile to stop it from breaking off small peices.

The c-tile by itself provides a 1 hour fire rating, the caulk expands when in contact with heat. I am not sure if it would help in case of a pack going off though.

Good ideas overall! The Liposack idea sounds great, too! And good job with some of the custom-made cases!

What about keeping them in the car during the summer? I've often thought about going flying during my lunch break when it's nice out there this summer, but I was wondering whether they would get too hot and do that thing they can end up doing...

I do park in the shade in a parking deck, but hey, this is Alabama, and it gets hot around here!
