I'm wondering if the larger wing will need more reinforcement if you make it really fast. Any thoughts anyone ?

Not likley, the forces are distributed over a larger area so it may be a mute point, of cource i do not build light i tend to over build the center section..

Thanks Paul - Maybe just a few extra overlaps would be good, I'm thinking if I go twin, an ounce here or there isn't going to make much difference. A little over-build in the center is a good idea.

The LFRC 28mm long can 2T looks promising!

Waiting for Catahulu Dave to report back on how it handles. Let us know what you end up using and how she flies, I will not get to this project for a bit as there is lots of irons in the fire at this point

Not sure of the exact numbers but I can get my 50 around 20 mph It gets a little wobbly if I give any extreme commands. Flying strait it can prolly get to 10-15 or so before tip stalling. Sometimes I get it going so slow I think I could catch it instead of landing. I have actually had my 50 standing still in some strong winds! That was intersting!

I guess it'd really depend on you AUW.

I had to add 7oz weight to get the balance, so I'm about 3.6 lb at this point.

Ya mine is at 48oz and slow to the point it looks like i could catch it

Then i remeber how much it wieghts hahaha

Think of this i can launch it at half to 3/4 throtle at a hard but not overly hard pizza toss and it does well on take off..

As soon as i get my hands back on the stick i hit full and away it oges so im thinking a bungge would pull it right up and into flight speed no problems

Mine comes in under 3lbs, its about 47oz. Just fly it a few laps and you'll get the feel for it.
