Ok here is a Phoenix 60 sloper .It has a ballast bay that will hold up to 6- 8 oz lead slugs.It going to the big Island where the winds blow constant 50 to 60mph.
The wing has 7 spars and the botom is coverite for durability and spray painted.It has digital servos,super stiff 3/8 /2 aileron stock.
The rx bats are 2 5 cell 2000 mahr AA paraleled nimhs.
Auw before the slugs is 38 oz .

20.10oz after glass, 24.5 after covering with monokote. I used HS5645 digital standard servos in mine. What did you use?

HS225MG. just like my TL50. 18.4 oz glassed. my spreadsheet estimate says ~43oz all up weight with Het3w and 3s 4350 lipo. Likely a couple more oz for misc hardware so I'm expecting arount 45oz auw. 0.85oz/sq foot from glassing. I was nervous about glassing weight since I sort of overdid it on my TL50 but it still flies great with 8oz of weight in the nose. Hoping I'm smarter on the balance this time.

An estimated 50-55oz. I am aiming for descent speed and extreme thrust. I wan't good vertical performance. Thats just slightly heavier then my first 50 so it should still be a floater.

the 16/15/4 on 3c hasn't made it in the past but maybe my wings weren't as efficecient as kliques are (maybe i was using junkie batteries also).

i've been threatning to buy a ritewing, this may be the itch that gets scratched.

i posed this question about a year ago and with the responces i came close, but still was under 80mph. just not fun to be the slowest in a combat event.

will be interested to hear the results of these wings to determine if they will work for me.
