So can't fly and no plane to build now what????

It has been raining ,cold or wind blowing all week and just finished both the Wasp and Jenny and sitting here and cabin fever is building so out to the work room to see if any thing is laying around I can use to build something. Found a Wing and flying stab off of the scrapped Flying Flea, Carbon kite tube, Spare 55 servos and a few pieces of 1/8" balsa and a sheet of 1/4" balsa, a Tower Pro 21 motor and speed control. So was sitting there wondering what I could do with that and here is the result. Will it fly? Who knows but my success rate with such builds over the last 50 years is well over 99% so it should. Using a 3S 2100 Lipo 15C, 8 X 4 GWS HD prop. AUW came out to 19.2oz and wing loading is a ideal 9.6oz/sq ft. Only thing I had to order was a Berg 4 RX. With the 21 oz thrust the Tower produces it should have enough power. I like the way it turned out so more later. Comments welcome!

Very clever way to clean out the scrap heap!
Good luck on the maiden, if it ever stops raining up there.

I built one simular out of a couple crashed Pico Stick wings. Its been setting a few years now, maybe I'll stick a rx in it and give it a spin! Butch

Hey Boomerace (no relation to Liberace), I got the solution. I can't build for beans, and I fly even worse. Get a Pico-Z. You don't have to build it, and even I can fly one. Fits in your shirt pocket.
Haven't written to you for a while. I'm burried in Beavers, Number 8 of which was a present from the folks at the Beaver thread to have something to do while I recuperated. My fingers are turning to foam. Learned a new trick: put a parachute inside the cabin in case the wing comes off. It's fun to see the risers wrap around that motor shaft in about a quarter of a second.

OK, Boomer.... what are you going to name this one?

Got my Jenny kit Saturday and when I picked up the box it felt like nothing was in it!
It sure comes out of the box pretty... It rained most of the day yesterday, so I built my 3D Moth. This one came with the radio already installed and with a 380 brushed motor. The entire build took about an hour.

Some advice please.... when I did a static thrust test on this 3D moth, the gears screamed so loud my cat ran under the bed! If I back off on the throttle and hit it again, it stops making the noise. It's like something is binding, and then with a lot of thrust... it's like it moves a shaft forward and the noise quits. I can't find anything that looks out of whack. <?>
