All the cradle has to do is to trip a simple switch near the turn around pulley...

Semi-Automaticaly Catapult Sistem

1.Exuse me, pardon. It is puzzle without comments.

2. It was project for military system same years ego.
Principle of launch w/ shuttle usung by launch of drones (USA, Israel, etc)

3. "Jumper - B" is Semi-Automatic Catapult Sistem (SACS).
There used standard equiment such as 12 V. starter and 12V. rechargeable battery. A standard alum. angle was used to build the guide rail.
SACS can be used for launch RC planes different configurations.
Design SACS provides using alternative devices (bungee, rocetry motor) almost without modification.
Using of shuttle for launch provides possibility increasing effectivness of launch.
Pilot controls ONLY RC plane via ordinary (even 3 ch) Radio System.
Pilot can be located as far as need.
Detailes are in article, which ready for published.

I have to say, that electric scheme is simple:
Switch - 1
Snap Action Switches - 2
Indicator lamp - 1
Batterry - 1.
Starter - 1.
Structure of SACS is simple too.
Guide, support from aluminium pipes, sheaves, shuttle (start platform)

too much technology!

I'm thinking a lot of weight and expense could be saved if you store the launch energy in a bungee instead of a battery/motor rig. This looks like severe overkill. Bill
