Careful!
Very bad crash (because of blade snaping in air)

Well after getting my walkera 36 all finished up she was flying great. I decided to put a pair of Align 315 pro Blades on it because i like the sound of them. It was late afternoon and my brand new Thunder power 2070 3 cell li-po had just finished charging i got it on monday. I took off made shure the blades were in track and switched to idle up. I got so height and pulled up (snap) on of the blades broke so i kiled power and shut of the motor and watched it come down to the cement. I tried catching it which ended up with a very deep cut in my finger. Oh well ill have to live its like its not the end of the world or anything.. It will probobly take me 5-6 months to save up for all the parts i need....

Here are some of the crash pics:

Very sorry to hear of the carnage and injury.

Man! Doesn't look like there's much left.

The battery doesn't look too bad. Is it ok at least?

Sorry to hear about that. That took a serious hit. That is another reason I wont fly over cement.

What did you measure your headspeed at? I've done plenty of 3D on those blades with no problems! Sorry for your loss

r u serious??? i run pro woodies on my training platform trex, setup: 430XL motor, 13t pinion, 100-100-100, high timing, response...etc. well over 3000HS

i do check frequently the helicopter since im very anal about stuff like that, but honestly, ive never found any cracks on my blades at all, even after 50+ flights on them...i do notice they flex and buckle though.

sorry to see that happen, its a b1tch

Pro woods are rated for 2400 rpm, and have been run FAR FAR beyond that in extreme 3D.
So why do you not recommend doing 3D on them when you were only hovering?
Pics of the snapped blade root?

Youch, that looks bad. I'd like a close up of the blade though if you can.

Time to get a new heli? Cost would probably be about the same.
