I also use magnets, but some use velcro. I've also had a few that use a male/female plug end and a slider switch at the other.

Some people just use tape each time they change the battery. It all depends on how much detail and time you want to put in...

Unfortunately I have to take patience. This weekend we have spring cleaning at our airfield and I hope the Su-37 will get airborne next weekend.

Bye,
Torsten

Bob, hi. I very much like quality of finish (first coat) of your model. I can not understand, what is WBPU? Either I poorly English, or it for us was not present in the market. If it is possible, put a photo of packaging WBPU. If it is possible, more details and photo about know-how of processing. Thank.

WBPU is water based poly urethane. Clear floor wood sealer. Don't know what makes you have over there but I have found that some have a slight milky or tan finish whilst others are crystal clear. Maybe someone local to you will let you know what makes are the best.

As Clive said, Water-Based Poly Urethane. What I use is Minwax matte-finish. It's milky in appearance with no tint (white). It dries perfectly clear. Mix that about 50/50 ratio with baby powder or talcum powder. I apply it in a very thick coat and then sand most of it off. It leaves a very smooth finish ready for priming and then painting.

I hope that makes since.

Alex,

Here is a photo of a popular brand available here in the USA, and what I use. It's available in a matte, gloss, or satin finish.

I finally started working on mine again. I have both engine nacelles/exhaust shaped and sanded....now for the fuse. I'm going to try to finish the shaping and sanding this weekend.

Are the nacelle sides strong enough to hold the motor/mount or do you need to put some Cf reinforcement. Mine feels a bit flimsy but I haven't glued it onto the fuse or glued on the doublers
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Jim

I would say if you're not comfortable with it, you should reinforce it. Better safe than sorry.

Yep, I went through that phase, too.... It'll be worth it in the end, though!
