A windy day, kept the temps down to a comfortable 26 Deg C, although this time the wind was blowing from the wharf side of the lake which kept us from suffering a North Sea storm surge . All the usual suspects as well as new members Alf and Cameron.

A new Springer by Ken and Evonne has been launched and with myself moulding hulls a few more should be making appearances. After a little trialling with positioning of ballast it runs really well on a Darke Horse 600 and single stick pack. The layout of internals is very neat.

Cameron has a Super V 27 and a couple of Blackjacks, The Blackjacks have amazing airbrushing, My photo doesn't do justice to the one he brought down today unfortunately.

A problem we are having at the moment is discarded fishing line, last week Cols Moonraker sucked some into the jets, those familiar with the Graupner Jets will know its not a simple task to dismantle them. Today Graham's Coast Guard ship got some entangled in his running gear.

Super pics, Nick. Thanks!

I sure do like Mark's tug, and Grahams CG cutter.

They are both impressive models, Mark has a JJC sound module that make a very realistic steam engine sound. Graham's CG cutter is actually based on an
Australian Fremantle Class patrol boat hull.

Thanks for the photos! Looks like you had a nice time on the water with a decent breeze from the looks of that one shot.

Send some warm weather up our way since we're lucky to see 8c this time of year. We'll be out with our new IOMs next week come hell or high water in what may well be our inaugural Spring Festival Regatta.

Hello All,

Well a nice big turnout today despite the muggy 30+ weather and heavy shower as we were packing up.

We had 3 Amsterdam's on the water today, Rays, Cols and Peters. Photos of attempting to dock Johns Washington. We need Travis to get into gear now so we can have Amsterdam Quadruplets

A flurry of new memberships recently with the FE guys who normally run on the lake with us. We will soon be able to have some organised racing.

Getting back into the sailboats who are also organising some competitive events. We are thinking about having a one design class as well as the many class races we have now. We are considering the Micro Magic for the one design class.

I think we will soon have some Springer events as well as the number of hulls on the water increases although the only one on the water today was my hot pink Barbie Dream Springer, It will need a rename as I found a smaller doll in my daughters collection who fits better.

Regards
Nick

Looks like fun!

Gotta keep the "Barbie Dream Springer" name... even if barbie sells the springer off to another doll!
