Welcome to RC Groups. Your question will get many responces to this question, its kinda like asking what's better Ford or Chevy. As far as Traxxas goes they are a good company and make some great entry level cars. IMO you will not be disapointed, but if you want a hard core racer their are some other very good options out there. What car or truck are you looking at, and are you leaning electric or nitro?

NoMo If you want to stick with Traxxas try the Jato it is a great truck. How did your motor break on your Rustler? Why don't you just go get a new moter for it if you want to keep the truck there are some good motors for 20-40 USD that should hold up better than the stock motor.
Yes Ofna and HPI should have web sites just remember when you throw the name into a search engine you might have to find the full name.

HPI = Hobby Products International This is just an example, I don't know if OFNA is shortened.

That's a sweet set-up! make sure you get the metal idler gear and the street sport stubs to handle the abuse.

The Street Sport is an older traxxas on road RC. It had all metal axle stubs that are compatable with the Rustler and Stampede. A lot tougher than the partial plastic stock stubs they give ya. Don't go for the cvd's, I've busted them with my weaker novak BL. No telling how short lived they would be with a mamba max.
