Lol, It makes me think of that scene in lord of the rings. You could have the fast moving camera going from peak to peak as the fires light up but also see kinetics and dynamics wizzing round at 450 on each one! Although, you probably wouldnt see them anyway!

I came down to Weldon for a quick stop and found a few folks up on the hill. Bruce, Tim, Mark, and Alan. Winds were light, maybe a few gust over 20 early on. Bruce and I traded JW's for a few laps, I finally flew the molded and he flew my 89ozer which is my fastest and best performer. They fly similar but we both agreed the moldie was more responsive in control and quicker to accelerate. I can't wait to get mine.
Tim flew his beautiful nyx with a tribute to Jimmy Eich on the wing and that was nice to see.
The highlight of the day was a foamie furball. 4 combat wings a bunch of laps and a few taps. We had some good formations but nothing like the Colorado guys...yet. I'd really like to see this trend continue, everyone who frequents Weldon needs a 40oz bee.

I'll take a 40 oz Bee if you are building it for me

Wish I could come play with you all on Weldon. Did scout out a new South Wind DS spot here in Salt Lake. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=679

I still talk about the Mcnally's thanksgiving dinner. One of the top meals of my life. Made it their two years in a row after I first discovered this excellent experience.

Thought about driving down tomorrow night for the weekend. The woman would have to stay home to work and was showing some dislike to that idea so I'm saving up the favors for a Spring Weldon hall pass.

Spring is a better bet for flying I think. We almost got the international crew to go up to mcnallys last April. I'm going to the coast for the rest of the week but plan on being back for Christmas and New Years..

Nice place at McNallys. You guys in the US need to try a proper NZ steak though. I felt like I was eating a brown block of butter
