Hanger 9 Fokker E.III Park Flyer

Hi guys. I just received the Hanger 9 Fokker Eindecker E.III electric ARF for my birthday and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. Any hints? Observations?

No hints, but i am interested to hear how it flys once you get it up in the air. I've been admiring that plane for sometime now and I'm curious to hear how if flys. Looks like a very nice ARF.

OK Piper. Mama's going out of town next week so maybe I'll be able to get it flying before next weekend. I'll keep you posted.

i got a buddy that has one

it seems to fly aok

he doesn't fly that often anymore and i was there for the maiden

his pack wasn't fully charged but it tooled around at about 7 feet alt nicely and then he emergency landed her as the pack gave out

he hsan't been out to fly it with me since....although he has told he has since put a s400 zagi motor in it and keeps promising to show up and fly ...but golf and harleys are taking up his time these days

Thanks for the input, Belgy. I'll be sure that my pack is fully charged. I plan to start with the plane as shipped and then go on to more power if needed.

I have seen one fly that I tihnk was stock and it looked great in the air and was told that it flew pretty nicely. Take that for what its worth, though, as I didn't actually fly it myself.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Fokker EIII flying

Hi guys. It took a little longer than expected, but the red barron finally took to the air (after repairing the busted wing tip - from the fall off the table). Flys well on the stock setup with 8 750mah AAA energizers. And at about 50 feet the motor really begins to sound like a rotary! After some control throw adjustments it is a stable and smooth flyer even in some wind (3 to 5 mph). Mild aerobatics and gentle landing - shut down motor at about 2 ft alt and easy flare for smooth touch down in grass. Very robust. I think I'm going to have fun straffing the field until the other guys come up to fight with their Projettis.

SFK, see my previous post for MY answer to your question. The Hanger 9 version is a bit smaller than the Wattage version, but I like it.

Reviving this thread.....

I won one of these at the BEST E-fly in New Waverly, Tx. Very impressed by the quailty of this parkflyer ARF. Will probably need a power upgrade, but it does look promising.

Any new experiences?

[Any new experiences?]

Nope. After being shot down in flames by Snoopy, I've had no new experiences (as a mortal). I can now fly without wings!
