Bigger version plans?
Hello again Spfd-e-flyer!
It was great meeting you today at the K.C. Indoor Fun-fly. Still can't believe all the neat models you brought there today. As mentioned the "Airsurfer's Big Brother" really got my attention and I'd like to build the larger version. I believe I've looked through all the threads, but only noticed 'plans' for the smaller ducted fan version, did I overlook plans for the larger 65+" version? Do you have any? Care to just e-mail them to me? Or do you simply enlarge the smaller ones already posted? stzim@juno.com Thanks! Shaun |

Just enlarge the planes to fit into the 24" x 48" blue fan fold panel.
I just glued the joint and taped it. I added some lite plywood under the front nose to help mount the motor and batt. Good luck, let me know how it turns out. Larry |

Unknown File Type
Hey Larry!
Thanks for the suggestion, just one problem - does a ".dwg" file open with Autocad? That's not a program that I have installed on my computer, but maybe some of the guys as work can help, I just wanted to make sure that's what opens that file type. As always, Shaun P.S. I'm about to post the pictures from the KC Indoor Fun-fly in a little while on the http://www.jcrc.com website. I will post the video clips tomorrow evening. Several of you and your planes in there. |

Hey Shaun
dwg. is an autocad file. Here is a .dxf saved in R12 You might get some other programs to open it up. I put all the stuff I had on it Just use what you want. Larry I had to zip it. |

Fan Size?
Hi Larry!
Hope all is well down in southern MO! My bother (who works for an architectural firm in K.C.) has printed off the plans, but we still haven't got together for the delivery. I should see him soon. In the meantime, Bill at Park Flyer Motors has a "Customer Appreciation Sale" that is starting today (11/10/03) and that includes the GWS Ducted Fan(s). I am curious to know which one you have mounted on your Airsurfer so that I can get the same (or similar or better) Ducted Fan. The two he is offering are as follows; 2030x3 Ducted Fan System EDF50A or the 2030x5 Ducted Fan System EDF50B Thanks for your help and suggestions. BTW, I will be down in the Springfield area during the week of Dec. 15 - are you guys flying indoors again? Open to vistors?

The "B" it will be...
Thanks again, Larry, for the information. I still haven't made the jump to Li-Poly's for various reasons (mostly financial - I want to get the best possible charger and they are still quite salty) - I'm sure it will fly fine with my NiMH's. Perhaps I'll have it done in time to bring down there. You might e-mail me , PM or post me the directions to the building where you fly. I'm sure my co-workers will know exactly where it is as well. I'll order the "B" version.
