March 17th 2007 - another perfect day...

Took all my big planes as it was supposed to be windy. Showed up before first light and waited - kinda a magic time...

As my Ripmax Spitfire landed (belly lander) you could see the early dew spray off the wing and is glided along the ground. Sunrise came - and flew some passes (so you could see the elliptical wing) in front of the sunrise....a perfect day.

Flew at first light - no wind for 3 plus hours. A perfect day indeed!

Hobby Lobby Thunderbird EDF ARF Jet Review

I just read your review on the T-bird ARF and will probably find myself owning one. I was wondering if you knew if the MT1028 SFM 66mm Electric Ducted Fan Unit ..... $ 22.90 for SPEED 400-480 and brushless motors will mount to E-Flight outrunner park 450 motor. Hobby-Lobby doesn't know if it will.

Thx
San G.

Sorry Sam - it will not fit with that outrunner motor. That motor will also not have the KV (RPMs) that it will need for that fan.

The T-bird comes with the motor and fan however and works well. Why not just use that?

I wasn't planning to switch the T-Bird motors. I was wanting to use the 66mm Electric Ducted Fan Units for another project.

Fatts - you need to repost this in a forum -this is my blog - and it won't get much attention.

You might try the EDF here:
