Question
Cox 0.49 thrust info

How much power does a Cox 0.49 engine have in ounces and in grams?
I cant find this information anywhere so I'm hoping someone knows.

Andrew

Around 10 oz in slow flight (very inefficient), a little better when going faster, probably around 15 oz thrust.

Similar to a long can speed 400 at 10 volts with a 6X3 prop.

Thats more power than I expected! They tell you to use these motors on the guillows series 400 models and I was looking for a GWS IPS motor/prop comparable to the 0.49. Around 15 oz thrust would probably give one of these models a good vertical climb!

Thanks,
Andrew
