Great setup, would love to see it in a ducted fan version though!

Hawk - You'd be surprised--this ship isn't at all twitchy with the TV on. I was really surprised by that. To be sure, it does fly smoother at high speeds with the TV off, but it still handles great at all times with the TV on.

Foam Fantom - This design would be very easy to adapt to ducted fans. I'll let somebody else do that, though. A ducted fan version would be slower, heavier, and less manueverable, plus it wouldn't have thrust vectoring! I did design a thrust vectoring EDF jet last year (an X-31--see thread here) and it worked fine, but it has nowhere near the performance of this pusher prop setup. EDFs are cool in their own right but they are much less efficient than props, especially given the new crop of hot brushless outrunners like the LSPJ.

Hi Steve! I'm a big fan of your jets! Have builted two F-18 and one F-15 so far.

I'd like ask if I can use the 28" span plan for a single motor (w/o TV course), or what is the correct for that set up.

I'm planning to use this set up that work great in the F-18:

Hyperion Z2213-20
APC 8x6E
Hyperion ESC 30A
3s1p 1800mAh 20C

Regards.

Does anybody know, if this part from Multiplex Acromaster can be used for a vector system?
