Iím currently trying to get my P-38 ready for its maiden; hoping for CG advice from folks around here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=634 .

My friend here in Taipei sent it tom me as a Christmas present; he knows nothing of our hobby. Unfortunately, though he wished to have everything in the box for me, its cam w/o the BL extensions or props! Also, with two LiPo pack; but not as bets as I can understand two sets of flight packs Ė should have been 4 packs of 3S1300s??

Iíve gotten two planes from the store previous visits: B-2 & Stearman. The LiPos in both those cases didnít seem up to snuff either. 2S wasnít enough for B-2, 3S packs didnít have enough guts. 3S1300 was fine for Stearman; just not much help w/CG.

The 262 and JR FMS cable looks interesting; Iíll get some props, maybe the ESC programmer, hope theyíll exchange the packs that are of no help.

Always interesting.

Been there and back, another stop too!

Didnít get anything at the GWS store; as before the item of interest wasnít available Ė see below.

They had the serial JR/FMS adapter, not USB. The BL ESC Programming Card is a nice little device; but I didnít need one. The ME 262 and FW 190 look good Ė wasnít in the mood.

Looked at the 2200 LiPo pack is ďwideĒ and low C like their others; for example they use two 1300s in parallel cause the 2200 wonít fit in the nose of the 262.

Didnít even get any props, the best news of the stop was they said that the 2808/18T will do just fine with the props Iíve got. No sign of the new 3 bladers???

Saw some other interesting subjects, but they werenít available as kits in the store: 3D Formosa, some other 3Ds including a Mustang, and several very nice WWI vintage bipes Ė Jenny, D-VII & Sopwith???

As stated above the only item of interest was the AT-6!

Itís a bit trimmer/smaller than their other warbirds; maybe theyíve sized it to fit their outrunner and a 1300 (6C) pack??? Might wind up being a nice plane; could be a great Club Racer, etc.

Mentioned RC Groups, they have it in their favorites, so I showed them some of my fleet. They saw my Whitey (pre-Wattage Hawk) and mentioned that TMF has a hot new product Ė F-16. Turns out while looking around the shop I saw one Ė very nice!!!

Stopped by and saw my old friend!!! Iíll be heading home with one; and their outstanding 20C packs (w/TP balancer taps).

Too bad GWS canít get a better source of cells .

Whoa!! Tell me more about the bipes!! These could be the upcoming planes about which Mr Lin is keeping his cards pretty close to his chest. Are you sure it was a Sopwith and do you know which one?

I am sorry to hear that you still unable to get what you want!

Since GWS had produced too many products items, GWS stores due to the limitted space, so we are only able to keep partial of them.

The major stock in GWS KL factory, the warehouse size by 50,000feet. Where GWS store multimilions of products + parts.

Are you still avalible in Taiwan for a few more days? My return to Taiwan on Monday by evening flight.

Mr. Lin,

Yes, I am still in Taipei; I fly to Seoul mid day on Tuesday.

Working all day today, Monday.

I'm not totally sure yet of me schedule for tomorrow.

My business freinds may take me to CKS (oops its got new); or, I might need to take a Limo from my hotel -- the Grand Hyatt, room 2111 Mr. James Blanner.

The office of my freinds is not far from the GWS store.

Jet lag isn't a problem till I get back home to USA/Minnesota; that's according to my wife -- she says I'm cranky for a couple of day when I 1st get home.

Mr. Lin, I might be able to make the visit.

I don't know though where the office is located.

Can you post the address info here; or send me an e-mail with the info and phone numbers ( jim.blanner@catpumps.com )?

It would be very nice to see your other facilities.

Jim
