Well that's fine, but where are the pictures of your boats, and are you going to be at the Bellevue, WA Regatta in June?

No problem, You don't need a boat to come to the regatta and enjoy Model boating.

Umi is right! You DONT need a boat to come enjoy a Regatta. The year before last in Canton, Michigan, Operators were asked to let the public try their hand at R/C operation. This was my first time at a Regatta, and I had noticed this young lad about 11 or 12 standing close to me , watching me run James Keith, my Darby model. I was nervous when he asked, but thought.."What harm can it do in a pond this big and with a boat as big as mine, and not as fast as Pats' PT ?" BTW...Pat had fun jumping my WAKE with the PT 41 !!!!
I gave him a quick and simple lesson on control, and he took right to it.I think I made the kids weekend, when I actually let him run it after he had the courage to ask. I would encourage this only to modellers with slower units.

Precious Lady

This is my 1:1 scale Narrow boat. “Precious Lady” 40 feet long by 7 feet wide. A 3 cylinder Isuzu diesel in the back that powers it along at a scale 4 knots. The shell is made from steel plate 10mm thick on the bottom, 6mm on the sides and 4 mm on the top. Tongue and grooved pine interior, fully kitted out with bedroom, kitchen and bathroom/toilet. Fully working solid fuel stove. And I have even made the inside look like a scruffy old river tramp lives on board who does not tidy up much. The paint is enamel for the top and bitumen for the hull. I also call it home.

The PBR is a semi-kit from Frank's Mosquito Boat Hobbies.
It was my first venture into the scale world.

Those pics kind of remind me that I have one to build yet. Did you use jet drives or props?

I used two 28mm jet drives from KMB, powered by two 12v motors. It can really get up and move.

OK...heres' my 1:1 1967 Chris-Craft Corsair. Its winter-bound at the moment, but will be active soon...lol
Boat is 21' long and has a Buick V-6. The unusual flaring on the bow makes for less splashing in rough water. The boat handles 4' swells very good. Nice stable boat , that I will be fishing Lake Erie on this year. Its got a swim ladder that we used se3veral times last year.Came with the twin axle trailer. All I've done so far is give it a little buffing, a new battery, and re-carpet the cockpit, as the vinyl was done.. Its getting a prop re-build and hopefully a re-pitch as we speak.
The seats were remarkable for its age, considering I had to vacuum about 15 pounds of Pine needles out of it!
Now the pictures.....
