Wiring the GWS F15

Below on the left, is the worst example of r\c electronics installation I have ever seen. I can't imagine placing the single conversion receiver right next to 2 BL controllers..not to mention the heat dissipation from the 2 ESC's...with the poor ventilation its a wonder this works at all. My guess is this setup could fail at anytime causing an embarrassing crash at the minimum or worse. Its better to "spread out" the electronics in the F15..Some people say "oh if you mount the ESC's in the air intake it will affect performance"..3 words for those people..No it won't. And even if it did, it would be better than a crash due to overheating..that my friends would affect performance

supBill, how is the Vacation going?

GWS F-15 pavement landing slo mo (0 min 43 sec)

Starscream with Vapor brick (1 min 5 sec)

StarScream to Elevon control (0 min 45 sec)

Here is something different
R\C Track Hoe (2 min 9 sec)

This is my best custom built model. GWS Mini Mustang
Gws Mini Mustang (1 min 45 sec)

This is the most unique plane I have in the Squadron. 4 engines with Gearboxes on this Air Hog Titan.
Titan Turbo Prop (2 min 23 sec)

Not too many like this one flying either...
Silverlit 737 with landing gear 1 (3 min 8 sec)

This is my favorite Zero. It has a PZ Trojan motor. Its quite a good wind flyer. Using 2 cells in this video.
GWS Zero with T-28 BL motor in wind (2 min 23 sec)

Here is a plane I played with as a Kid. Now its radio control!
Guillows M 45B Glider to DSM2 RC (0 min 40 sec)

My best Float plane
Cub Float perfect ROW (0 min 51 sec)

I hate it when this happens
Mid Air slo mo (0 min 33 sec)

This is my favorite EDF plane
F/A-18 Fast Fly by (0 min 8 sec)

I hate it when this happens
Beaver Float plane crash (0 min 21 sec)

Here is that AH Titan again as a Quad EDF. You won't see another one of these flying in any video
Air Hogs Titan EPP Foam Quad EDF Jet (6 min 19 sec)

This is my most popular video. I get paid by Adsense for this one. Sadly it has nothing to do with flying. its from 2004 I think. Guys that run real Track Hoes like this one and have asked me how much to build one for them.
Modified r\c 6 channel Track Hoe..one of a kind.. (0 min 38 sec)

This one is my personal favorite. Its a RB-FF converted to 2 channel r\c with AH gear.
Sky Rover (1 min 22 sec)

F-15 Landing

Looks great modfly! The landing it's self looks scale! I've seen plenty of F-15's take off and land and that little decompression of the shocks adds to the realism. Great Job (As always.)! Think you could do a pop up air brake to top it off?

That would be too cool

My GWS F15 is still flying and is one of my favorite planes. It has an "awesome presence" in the air or on the ground as it prepares for takeoff..

I may need to get me one of them. I've yet to fly a hobby grade jet. Just the Estes Turbo Thruster with a 7.4v LiPo. Woke it right up! Would this be a good jet to start with?

Questions on Harbor Freight P-51 Modifications

Hey Modfly,

I tried several time to send you a PM with questions, but my message does not seem to get through. Would you mind contacting me via E-Mail at my address as follows: davidcwile@gmail.com ? My PM to you is rather long and detailed and I did not want to put it all here. I am an old guy from Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania, and I am trying to learn some new things.

I thank you for your consideration.
