MI-24 Hind D Micro/HBCP2/BCP/P Fuselage
Well, first prototype fuselage made, assembled and test flown. SO Far A-Ok!! Pretty windy today but the body flew very well. I know it has the skids on right now and to get it even closer to scale like, I at least plan on doing the trike landing gear. The plan is to use some genuine Super Skids parts and I will construct a base plate, Bend some music wire and purchasing some 3/4" tail wheels for wheels. Yes, It will add a little more weight but shouldnt be a problem. There are several ways to construct the fuselage, one way is to glue the tail boom to the main body therefore you can loose the stock tailboomand mount the tailrotor housing and motor to the tail. I assembled the prototype with the stock boom and elevated the tail using brass tuibing as I did with my Cobra body. Even though it has the skids on it still looked pretty slick in the air.
Speaking of slicks(UH-1D), I think I'll be getting that one finished next.
