Steam Tug

Hi All,
I am planning to construct a R/C Scratch model of an old steam tug. Unfortunately I dont have any document or drawing other then a single old photo This is a ex samsa class tug and was constructed at 1910 in A Vuijk & Zoheln Capelle a/d Ysel ship yards in Netherland. I also know that this was single shaft steam tug with Length= 30.1 m and Width= 6.7 m
Can anyone help me or advise me where can I find drawings of this or similar steam tugs.
Thank you all.

Hi Taner,

You have more information on that old tug than many modelers have on a scratch building project, and not realize it. The dimensions are important, as is the photo.

Hull lines for an old steam tug should not be a problem to acquire, as there is little variation between one boat of that type, and another. A tug is a tug is a tug---.

Suggest you search through some of the plans catalogs for something close to what you wish to build, and modify the drawings to match the photo.

Gentlemen,
Thank you for your kind answers.
patmat2350,http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php is a good place to visit. But I did not find what I was looking for.

der kapitan, I was trying to find a litle more than "A tug is a tug is a tug---." But the good news is French Ministry of Defense Library Published all the boat drawings from period ships to near past.

Sorry for being that long to write you back.

Now I am happly working on my drawings.

Thank you
