Built up wing full house sailplane?

Anyone know of a sailplane kit ('box-of-sticks' type) that has a built up wing and a full-house setup?

I can't find any but think I could probably modify a 3M Mistral taking the poly angle out of the center/outer panel joint while building and then use some CF to reinforce the rear of the wing so ailerons and flaps could be added.

Are there any out there that don't need to be modified?

Full house/sticks

I think Buzz Waltz had a model called the Mystery Ship a while back...That was a built up full house.. Not positive if it is made anymore..I have not seen the ad for some time now..
The 100 inch spirit was a kit that could be built either full house or poly....That is all my "old" mind can bring up.. Brian

Major Hobby used to sell the Mystery Ship but I can't find it on thier site anymore. I've emailed them.

I found the 'Cloud Bound 4' at http://skybench.com/ with a 144" span and can be built RES for full house.

The NSP Kestral 100 can be built with ailerons according to the write up.

The GP Spirit 100 has A/E/R/F

and

Cloud Bound 4 from Skybench.

I have been on the same quest and this is all that I have found.

Just read, on RCSE, that Skybench is releasing 'SkyBird' in November. It's 130" RES but he's planning a flap/aileron wing and a flap only wing for it as well. He also has another new design out in January similar to but improve from the Cloud Bound 4.

I may build a big RES ship for now and see what the future holds. Right now it's a toss up between the Mistral 3M from Isthmus or the Esprit short kit from Dream Catcher.

My choice for an RES kit would be the Sky Bird first, the Mistral second and the Grand Esprit third of the kits you mention. The Sky Bird and Mistral have better airfoils than the flat bottom from L. E. to T. E. airfoil of the Grand Esprit. The first two will have better penetration than the Grand Esprit. The Sky Bird has a size advantage over the Mistral.

The Laser Arts Majestic is also a top RES kit.

Have you considered the Great Plannes Spirit Elite? I build one this past winter and I am very pleased with it....Not that I've had many chances to fly it this summer , but it does fly really well.

Box of sticks

Just what is wrong with 2 meter???

I find them easier to handle on the ground when flying by yourself.

But, Dreamcatcher offers the Airtronics Whisper in a 100" short kit as well as the 2 meter.

I have an Aquila Grande short kit that I may "bash" into a full house. Not decided yet.

Regards,
Ed Jett

Oh! I found that the Heat Seeker plan that I suggested on RCSE is Plan 758 available from Model Aviation (AMA) and was published in May of 1994.

Basically, nothing !
But opposed to other matters , when it comes to R/C sailplanes, size does matter !

A bigger sailplane will fly better, especially when it comes to scale birds, although admittedly those are not the issue here.
