United Hobbies - Buyers beware!!!
Well the first 3 or 4 orders went well.
Then came the problem. Placed a bigger order this time around, $170 worth of goodies. Had a problem with placing the order, ended up paying with Pay Pal as usual. PROBLEM: They say my order is "canceled" for non-payment. I paid them the following day as they instructed me to do via Pay Pal. I have sent them Payment confirmation from Pay Pal on 4 separate occassions now. They simply will NOT RESPOND to my emails. The Pay Pal Payment absolutely shows them as the receipient, has the order number and my customer ID see below. Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to get them to respond? Issue has been resolved thru the help of Pay Pal.
Order was placed several days before their holiday. My emails were sent 2 to 4 days AFTER they returned from the festivities. FACT is they refused to respond to my emails. FACT is they refunded my money within 1.5 hours of the dispute being filed with Pay Pal. They are growing and I can understand SNAFU's. I cannot understand refusing to respond to repeated emails. Conclusion, No Harm, No foul. Case Closed. I have placed a new order. Moving On. . . .

Had a similar experience with Paypal and UH.
Paid at time of order. Paypal said paid but UH order status sat at waiting for payment for 5 days. Suddenly shifted to paid and all went ahead as usual, items dispatched the next day. I think it must be a very manual system with updates when time allows. At least I know what is happening or not happening. A few others I buy from goes; send order, pay, payment sometimes acknowledged, goods arrive several days to weeks later. Really feel left in the dark , not even a simple e-mail of goods posted. The best is TAIWA, acknowledgements, even send a pic of goods sent and a pic of the postal pack etc. Sometimes they even slip in a small gift. |

We often get full capital letter emails on Sunday evenings (read on Mondays) from customers who paid with a paypal email address which doesnt corellate with what is in the account settings.
From what we can tell, the payment was made manually, and the database had no way of matching the two emails. Costa. Nobody refuses to respond to emails. In fact there is a penalty for our CSO if one email is left unanswered (and it IS checked weekly). Check your spam settings, check your junk email folder... Rgds Admin/Support. Quote:
