You did a great job on the Bipe and it looks good in the air. I like the pull-pull set up on the rudder.
I hope the sons made it in OK.
I wish we could have shared a little stick time on each others planes but maybe we can soon.

Thanks, It would have been my pleasure to meet you. I met so many nice people who were complimentary.
I look forward to meeting you and thank you for the kind comments.

New Stick in the air

Dutch SSX is ready for flight

Just finished my first "big" stick, after building a lot of micro's.
The building was a breeze, and I added some lights to it from the Xerogear guys.
Total weight is 22 ounce.
Now waiting for the maiden, and a lot of windless dark nights.

Nice work, that one belongs on my web site. You built it quick.

Never mind, the wing position looks fine. The picture I was looking at is distorted.

I maidened it just a few minutes ago, and it fly's great.
Flew behind my house on a small playground, a bit confined area, but I made 2 take-off's and landings, that baby can go slow.
Up for the night flights!
What did you mean James with the wing position?
The fwd wing saddle is at 5.5 inch from the front.

Maidened mine today, LOVE IT. Flew it 4 times. What floats should be used on it?

I use the multiplex floats with two pair of X-Gear. Should be some pictures on this thread.

Trailing edge bevel

This picture should clear up any question of how to prepare the trailing edge (W3) crutch. The crutch is tapered to a feather before the 1/16" X 3/4" sheeting is applied. This method deviates from the build video and improves the quality of the trailing edge.

I still can't see how to do the trailing edge

The engineering diagram shows that tabs that I cut off.
