Go brushless without going big?
OK folks. I am ready to go brushless.... but I don't wanna start flying something that is heavy! With the MM BL motors, we have some good options but what I want to know is if I can achieve what I want with the gear that currently exists. Here is what I want to do:
MI minor flat - 1.2g
2x blue arrow 3.6 servos (elevator and alerons) - 8g
some kind of full river cell (possibly a 130?) - 2-3g
MM gold series 1 cell hot wind - aprox. 5.7g with motor mount
gws 5030 - .3g (?)
YGE4-BL or MBC4-BL controller (which is better? How much does the MI one weigh?) - 2-3g
So I think about 20 grams for gear but I could be wrong. That leaves about 15 grams of weight for a strong airframe. Is it possible to get verticle performance out of something like this? I have no experience with brushless gear and would very much appreciate any help/suggestions anyone has to offer. Cheers!

that BL motor will give you 51g of thrust @ 2A (or 61g @ 2.3A) for your approx. 35-40g plane. so yeah, vertical wont be a problem there. although i would say go w/ a full river 220mah or 250. something that will handle 2A+ and still give you some duration.
