Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth sail together!!
Well, after months of waiting, it finally happened. The R.C.S. Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth sailed together at the same time and place!
The voyage was not without technical problems as the Queen Mary suffered alot of 'sputtering' (I think there might have been another ship in the club with the same radio frequency), but I got enough running in to call it successful.
I think the big problem I had was coordination. I had to drive one of the Queens while taking pictures or video while my friend drove the other one. Next time, I want to have 2 people controlling the ships while I get the video.
I haven't gotten the video from the deck of each ship as they pass each other yet, but hey- this is not the last time these 2 will meet together.
Anyway, it seemed like the most fun I had was when they both sailed together, not really trying to do any particular maneuver, just sailing freely.
My friend Tom brought his S.S. AMERICA and his wife brought her tug modeled after a children's book.
Hope ya like the pics!

Wow, it's gorgeous...
How come you guys have such nice weather?
Oh yeah and your ships look gorgeous also.
You guys are going to have to start a cruise line down there.
Maybe the city will help construct a port facility for you.

Kmot and Ed
Wow! You guys didn't waste any time LOL.
Thanks everyone for your compliments! This is the biggest moment so far for my humble R/C fleet.
When I get the QUEEN VICTORIA sailing soon, I'll be sure to get the 3 Queens together!
Down the road I want to add QE2 and Mary2 models to my fleet.
