Have you ever tried to ship any of these plane for less then 20.00. Can't happen unless you live next door. Like it or not, you pay shipping either from a online dealer or from your LHS.

This is not true at all. The same price that GWS asks for the earlybird planes is the retail price you pay at LHS. So, I can go to LHS and pay $40 for the ME-262 and not pay any shipping charges or actually order it from www.epyaya.com and pay 11.16 for shipping instead of participating in the earlybird program that they DID offer for this plane. Same was true with the GWS38 and same will be true for FW190. Earlybird orders pay aboyt $35 to have them shipped directly from Taiwan and get them about a month or more before anyone else.

I've shipped a GWS plane in NIB for $7 and change via USPS.

That looks nice Roger.

On the ones I posted, for some reason I think the yellow/orange under the cowl and on the tail really set them off.

I'll be waiting to order some for our area. No rush I'm still working on the 38 and have a couple 262's under that one. I really like the yellow tails but the yellow nose is a bit much for me.

I contacted my closest LHS and made sure he got some on order. Actually, I've done that with all of the new kits recently, and will continue in the future. He's not always up to speed on the new offerings.

Hey Pat,

Depending on what you LHS is like he might have to wait till the distributor of choice has them availible. Not all shops have enough GWS interest to warrent ordering direct from GWS USA so they have to wait till other distributors like Great Planes or Horizon has them. That seems to take an extra 2-4 weeks or never in some cases.

That is how it goes for my shop. Most customers are into balsa kits or Depron kits so we sell more parts then kits and very little GWS stuff.

I checked with my account reps at GP and Horizon and they don't even have them in the system yet so I can't even pre-order them for the few that want one.

Hopefully soon.

Steve,

Let's just say that my LHS is on the GWS distributor list, and I have VERY strong pull with the owner (at one point he had 75 Slow Stick kits of various colors in stock!). He may not get them as fast as say Epyaya, Tower or ALLeRC, but shortly thereafter.
