Do you guys really want scans of the old AMA decals? I've been a member since 1970, and I don't think I've tossed out an AMA decal since around 1975 (when I got married). I believe I have all of the annual decals, plus I still have a lot of the water-slide "AMA" and "FAI" wings.

Yes, I would like 93' and 94'. I think posting all of them would be a great contribution the the history of model aviation but I am on a history kick. Check out my thread on Soaring History.

Okay, sat down and went through my decal folder. I'm missing a few, it seems, mainly ones that came out when I was being transferred (I was in the USAF 1975-94). So far, I'm missing dated ones before 82, plus 1985 and 1989. I have to admit I also used some of the decals along the way, so odd parts may be missing.

Many of these are printed on chromed plastic. How do you get that to scan properly?

First load for now:

Okay, the last I have, missing 2003 and 2004. Some odd ones, plus two (RCM and K&B) I found whilst looking for other stuff.

If you want rescans, or have ideas on how to make better scans, please PM me.

Decals wanted

Wanted:

Not sure if this is the right thread but here goes;

I'm building a replica of a beginner's 2 ch glider kit made in the mid-80's, called a Robbe 'Finikofi', a pod and boom type fuselage, 160 cm span (I scaled it up to 125%) and yes it was my first airplane model. Not a real beauty but you know, the nostalgic thing going on here....
It had a injection molded plastic fuselage (2 halves screwed together), aluminium tube tail boom attached with hose clamp, obechi veneer finished PU foam wings. And build up balsa tail.

I am after a scan from the 'FINIKOFI' part of the decal, the ROBBE is easy to reproduce but the finikofi lettering I only have a high perspective, low resolution image from the box.

If someone has a good photo or even a scan I would be a happy man.

Thanks in advance,
GJ

You could try posting in the R/C Soaring History thread.

Lil Wizard Decals

Would anyone have the decals for the Carl Goldberg "Lil' Wizard" C/L trainer?
Not the Brodack one, that doesn't have the CG fin logo, which is what I'm really looking for

Thanks

Wilf

EDIT: I've been sent these now, thanks to all
