Question
Trex 450 or 600??

what are the opinions about the 450 vs the 600 ???
I know the 600 is new but i'm reading some stuff about probs with the 450.
Are there any specifics to order on the 600...I plan to buy the whole deal radio and all....

I could use some advice....

Jack

HUGE difference in size for one.

The 450 is considered a mini and the 600 is a 50 sized.

motor, batteries, esc, parts prices, blades, pretty much everything is more expensive with the 600 compared to the 450

If your new I highly recomend against the 600. It is way insanly bigger then the 450. Most newbs who buy the T600's end up selling them once the are looking at it in their living room. The forums are littered with them.

Well, it depends. Do you want to spend $200 or $2000 on batteries?

Let's hope you are not a newby or only have flown a counter rotation heli such as a CX2. If you are, this is the risk you are running into, end up in the hopital (450) or the mortuary (600). Start with a DF or something which is a lot safer. If you are an experience CP Pro or DF 4#1 or compatibles pilot choose 500 not 450 and eventually the 600 which costs a lot more to repair.

It depends on where You'd like to fly. The 450 reqires less space to fly, to store and to transport. The 600 requires a dedicated flying field... and more space at home and in the car (or even van).
Try to get both: 450 for everyday flying at lunch time and 600 for weekends in the field

Do you think he's still debating after one year?
Where'd you come up with this thread now?

i think for anyone who hasnt flown a CP before, should get the 450. (but has previous flying experience)

unless, you have a whole lot of extra cash just burning a whole in your pocket, still get the 450, then give that cash to me so i can buy a 600 and give my 450 a littls rest from all the thrashing its been receiving

The 600 is smoother, slower, more stable and easier to fly. It is much more expensive in a crash, and the batteries (as others have pointed out) are quite expensive.

The 450 is smaller, quicker, not nearly as smooth, but much less intimidating and very inexpensive in terms of repairs and batteries.

Two similar looking, very different machines.

If you are learning, start with a 450.
