Easyglider around Pole

It is unbelievable how much fun you can have on a low wind day trying to fly around a 16' pole! The Easyglider needed several repairs at the field. But CA and kicker will do it. It took several hits of the pole or crashes into the trees around before the pilot managed to fly around the pole.

Steve... THIS SITE IS A BLAST! At Chiques, if wind was this light, we would just be standing around being silly or in our cars on the way home!

Good to hear from you, have a happy holiday and if you get this way look us up at the "Hill"

joedoe,

Just curious if you guys are modifying the Easyglider to perform a little better on the slope. (Incidence?) Or adding balast? Thanks.

JoeDoe is either out of country or returning tonight.... anyhow, I took the video and as far as I know it is a "stock" EasyGlider. May be a PRO, but not sure.

Today (no Video) we were flying around the pole with Boomerang and a bat as well as a Windrider Fox. I have not had good luck with this task, but I'm trying!

As Soarntz said, I was out of the country, but I have arrived safely

On the video, I was flying the Easyglider Pro. I used to fly the previous Easy Glider version. I would say that the Pro version has stiffer wings than the previous version. Other than that I have not modified my EZ in any way. I use metal gear servos all over. Make sure you have a lot of throw on the elevator if you want to fly around a pole

Bald RC eagle

RC Eagle flying at the slope. Made out of foam with electric motor for power. Steering via V-tail only. Very durable, landing in tree did not do any harm. Floats in light wind but can also fly in strong winds.

Looking at the Eagle video, I will say you folks are really good at climbing trees.

Tha Bat is whooshing fast in between the tree lines. Nice flying.

Yes we are, that's not due to practice, but rather superb physical conditioning.

Maiden Flight Half Pipe 60

Maiden flight of the Half Pipe 60 on the first warm day this year! The road to the slope site was quite muddy!

Windrider Fox in High Wind

Windrider Fox in 20-35mph Wind. This Fox has been modified: Covering is a mix of Ultracote and Monokote. There's zero wing flex other than in the middle where the two halves join. The carbon mods were mostly ribbon spars buried into the wings, the rear of the fuse, and on the trailing edges of all control surfaces. There's also a carbon rod buried in the fuse from nose to tail. All surfaces but the rudder were replaced with balsa tapered stock (stock was all EPP foam surfaces). All up weight is 28.7 ounces, which is about 13 ounces more than a stock built one. The builder added about 3 ounces to the nose to get it to balance.
