Suggestions on a Good 300 size 3D heli??

Hey all,

I'm looking for a good 300-350 size 3D heli. I thought I had put an order into xheli for the Hummingbird 3D, but that fell through. So now I may want to reconsider my order.

There's a few out now, but there's thousands of threads on each one.

I've got all the electronics needed, except for a good brushless motor. I'd like a belt drive tail if possible, but a shaft isn't out of the question.

Any good suggestions?

Might want to check out the Compy300 thread. It seems like it's a winner...300 size, 3d-capable, and belt driven tail, <$80 for the kit (plus shipping from the Far East, though).

Heli-world is throwing in a free 25A ESC with the HB 3D Pro, doesn't seem too bad for $115. I've heard the Maxir is awesome, never flown one. I just know that the 3d pro flies so much better than my Blade CP ever did :-)

still nothing. I've called, sent emails and even a nasty fax. Nothing at all.

This is the tracking number they gave me.

252632210480634

Doesn't work with FedEx or Ups. They listed Fedex in an return email to me, and UPS in my status section on their site. Neither work.

Funny thing is they never charged my card.

The Campy300 is a nice heli, but ordering from China for parts is difficult. The Belt CP is nice, but considered a 400 size heli and little large. I still want something I can spin around my basement in the winter. :-)

Well, many of the parts are available in the US, since it was made to be compatible with parts from a lot of other helicopters. But still...not everything will work, so you'll still have to go back to China for some things at the moment...

And the Belt CP is definitely big for indoors. I've test flown it a couple of times in my basement, and it's kind of scary to have it confined like that, especially with my inexperience.

Yeah, I've spun up my Hawk Sport once in a shop, and man was that scary. LOL

Well, looks like I'm getting the hummingbird 3D because I just checked my credit card, and low and behold... a charge from xheli.
