Hello.
The Lepton of 6S3000mA is more better than that of EVO-5S3700m,because of the longer flight time and lighter weight.

If you get 6S3000mA from MaxAmp with Hyperion balancer tab,you can use Align-6S to TP balancer connecter from Align.

Sorry,English is too difficult for me!

Masa, I don't want to steal your thread but this is a similar problem..

I need to extend the boom on my Swift by 10-15mm so my 85mm tail rotor blades will clear the main rotor, if the rotor deflects too much there is 5mm of interference.

I can extend the boom no problem. I just need to find a longer belt.

The existing OEM belt is labelled with:
"Mitsuboshi 540XL N55D 08124 016"
This does not seem to match Mistuboshi's metric part numbers.

I measured endlessly and could not find exact metric pitch measurements, however this is what I found:
5 teeth/inch (60t/ft) exactly
4.5ft in perimeter (1371.6mm) exactly
4.0mm width exactly

Maybe it is a S5M that has stretched slightly? If it did stretch, the new tooth pitch is approx 5.1mm. Tooth profile appears to be trapezoidal.

I need a belt with the same pitch that is approx 4-6 teeth longer. Width may be 4mm to 5mm.

Any ideas?

This is an XL-type belt, which has a pitch of .20", or 5.08mm. You can find these at www.sdp-si.com The 540 is the total length, in teeth. If you want to increase the length 10mm, you need to probably increase the belt length by about 8 teeth.

but there's only 270 teeth? I assume it's counting both protruding teeth and the spaced inbetween...

I totally forgot about SPD-SI.com, I'll check there.

Well, then you need one with around 278-280T.

See this link(XL type timingbelt:sdp-si)
https://sdp-si.com/ss/PDF/26501014.PDF

If you choice the 277 grooves belt.

******metrick***********
Perimeter=picth length=5.08x277=1407.16mm(I think this pdf has mistake in picth length of 277 grooves belt)
1407.16-1371.6=35.56mm
35.56/2=17.78mm=You can extend boom 17.78mm!

*****inch***********
Perimeter=picth length=277x2/10=55.4inch
(540XL=54.0 inch belt=540/2 grooves belt)
55.4-54.0=1.4inch
1.4/2=0.7inch=17.78mm

And,you will be able to see the following provisos the bottom on each pdf page.

"Special Widths - cut to size from sleeves available from stock."

It was possible to rise in the gyro sensitivity by reducing the influence of the noise.

I use GY401/9650,in 85%-75%-75% Gyro sens.
I think,if the sensitivity of the gyro is high, short tail rotor can be
used.
Now,I am testing the tail rotor of Kyosho EP-carriber.
(Not longer,but wider than stock)

A longer boom will increase tail holding authority.
Longer tail blades will increase tail holding authority.
Gyro gain levels change the amplitude of how significantly the gyro reacts to make corrections.

Using tail blades that are too short will reduce overall tail authority, so one of three things needs to happen.. Either A: the tail spins at a higher rpm, B: the tail uses more pitch, or C: increase gyro gain. If the tail blades are simply too small and maximum pitch cannot develop enough thrust, then A or B needs to happen, A is better.

I tried lower rpm.I changed pinion to 16T from 17T.
HS became 2820rpm at Idol-2.

Short tail blades shows great perfomance during mild 3d.
These will be better than stock blades.
But when in hard flying, it sometimes failed.
I gave it up now.

I decided to 6S setup of lightweight specifications with stock length boom.

1:HeliDirect CF boom with stock tail case(-15g)
2:Light weight 5mm CF boom support(-8g)
2-1,2-2:vibration arrester
3:Light weight horn(-4g)
4:Cooling holes for ESC/Lipo(-3)

Now,my Lepton is 1685g with 460g LIPO.
It is easy to get 7min30-8min mild3D flying,when I use 16Tpinion.

So you decided to ditch the extension? You're going to stay stock + the Kyosho tail blades?
