Hey everyone, I have a Fun Cub with a Power 25 on it that I can easily tow a Cularis with. If you're looking for tows with a glider around that size or smaller, let me know. I usually fly at Coyote Basin Park off Cave Creek Rd and Beardsley just beside the Costco parking lot in North Phoenix. Good luck everyone and happy towing

New tug for "light aerotow"-- e-flite Super Cub w/ OS40FP

I just maidened my new E-flite Super Cub tug today, with an OS40FP glow engine in the nose. First outing was uneventful, and the Super Cub performed exactly as I had hoped. Plenty of power for hauling gliders up to 5lbs or so. A real keeper!

We are going to start doing some "light aerotow" here in the Pac NW next season, at Big Birds field in Monroe, with this tug and another electric tug (Big Nifty 80). We hope to see some increased activity among those who have small scale and non-scale sailplanes in the "light" category (approx. 1/6th-scale, or around 3m span or less). This would include anything from small glassies, like my 88oz, 3.1m Duo Discus, to foamie fun gliders like the Cularis, to poly 2m gasbaggers. Whatever you got that sits at home too much and needs some good airtime-- with the kind of launches only a tug can provide.

Sounds like fun to me!

My Pawnee in Jacksonville FL has been upgraded to 120cc so, unless you want to drag up a full scale, we should be able to accomadate you.

Power is a DLE-170. We are not sure what the tow limit is but it hauls up a 50lb glider with ease. I'm located in the Huntsville Alabama area and we fly off of a full scale private airport with a 2300ft grass runway. The club is working on setting up a monthly aerotow event. Please go to www.flynarca.com for the details to be posted soon.

I have the 3.2m Pilatus Porter with DA85 on tuned pipe. I just traded for an Aerobeez Wilga with a 3W 75. No pictures of the Wilga at this time.

We fly out of the Coca, FL, land fill and have a beautiful flying site.
