Sailmaking for dummies

Can someone reccomend a good site on basic sailmaking. I want to make a set of mylar sails but im kind of clueless. How does one know how many panels to make and where does everyone get their mylar? What else should I know?

What sort of boat are you making them for. Some classes restrict the panel numbers but 4 are generally used on the main with 3 or 4 on the jib.
