I absolutely will be kitting it. I have some minor modifications to make and then get an assembly manual done.

Given my current work load, It will probably be around spring time. Cost will probably be somewhere around $125. The kit will include all laser cut parts, battery hatch magnets, CF rods and laser cut windscreen and side windows.

Tri Squire

Midwest Tri Squire was my first R/C plane! Super Tigre .23RC and Kraft Radio. 1976, IIRC. When I crashed it, the wing survived, so I rebuilt the fuse and tail and kept at it!

Rick

BTW, I was born in Columbus, too!

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I've been getting some flights in on the Tri-Squire as time permits. I'm still trying to sort out a few incidence issues. The original design as a rudder only plane really make it want to climb like crazy under power. I'm trying to tame that down a bit by playing with the incidence of the wing and horizontal stab. Once I get that worked out, I can make the adjustments to the parts and get some kits out there.

the original incidence as designed is part of what makes it such a wonderful flyer, and, because of it, in calm weather when properly trimmed on landing as it enters ground effect it will flare and land properly all by itself just needing rudder to keep it straight.

Just food for thought for you, I hope you have been enjoying it. I wish i still had one now just for relaxation flying!!

I have to add to the nostalgia ;-) my 1st RC plane was a red Tri-Squire hanging from the ceiling of a Bremerton, WA hobby shop in 1970. Came w/ .15 installed I think - I eventually put an OS30 on it and loved that plane!! It inadvertently turned me on to sailplanes. Ran out of gas one day and was thrilled to see it glided almost as well as it flew on power. From then on I would put a small amount of fuel in it and look forward to running out. I still have an unused set of plans but, like others, would dearly love to build that plane and see it fly again. Please !!!! put me on your list of interested parties for a kit. My new Tri Squire

Just did the maiden hop today just after taking these pictures. Flies WONDERFUL with an O.S. FP .15 and 7x4 prop. It is just a simple pleasure to fly. Brings back many memories from my youth learning to fly on one of these back in the 1970's.
