I would sure like to hear how some of these B-29's are doing out there, Especially one that have landing gear! I would love to build one... can you still get the plastic parts? i know it may sound like a crime, but I want to build an olive drab version.

I'll be one of the first to admit - mine is still in the box.

I'm a slacker.

I flew mine with retracts at the B.E.S.T. Flyin this weekend. Still going strong after 3 years! Check with Jim Young to see if he still has plastic parts.

LOL - I'm not waiting for an ARF. I just need to find the time to fit it into the cue.

They sure are pretty when they are done.

Hi Bill,
No pics at the moment. I'll see if I can get some this week. By the way, I use the Spring Air 601s in my build.

Hi Guys,

Mine is still flying, but I have not had it out this year. Maybe this weekend?

Anyhow, while I don't stock the plastic parts any more (sales are too slow) I can run off a set here and there. As luck would have it, a guy wanted a set a few months ago, and kept telling me he was going to send the money. Well, I think I've given him enough time and after several emails he still has not come through. So, I have one set of plastic parts available. I'm basically selling them for my cost plus shipping. If you need the plans, I can sell you those as well. let me know. Bob at FlyingFoam.com is still cutting the foam parts, and you can contact him directly for prices.

If there are others interested in parts, let me know and I can run off a few more sets with my next laser cutter order.

Vacuum formed Lexan nose and nacelles

Jim,

Do you have, or can you get two sets of the Vacuum formed Lexan nose and nacelles for the B-29? I have the foam from Foamfly.com, just need the plans and plastic.

Just kicking the thread alive... Anyone who has installed retracts care to post some pix? With the availability of e-retracts now they should be much easier and lighter...

Well, totaled my B-29 during the BEST flyin Saturday. Took off and lost radio control at about 100 ft up. Not a pretty site!. Sure glad I kept my short kit! Hope to be building the second soon. Since my original was built a long time ago with brushed motors and air retracts, I'll be building this one with electric retracts and brushless motors!
