Jim, I'm using the 7.2 motors on mine with 6x4 props. It really moves, jumps out of your hands. On my B-17 I have the 6v motors with 5x4 props. It's hard to tell the difference but I think the 7.2 motors are better and better suited for the 6x4 props. Just my two cents.

Jim,
Going cross grain here but do ya really need
all 4 motors. 2 should be plenty! would it not. The inboard one's live outter dummies. The sound F/X will suffer. Mind ya I still vote for 4

Well, it's wired for 4 motors in parallel. Static current draw will be ~40A with the 6V motors. The 7.2V motors should drop the static current draw and still have plenty of power.

I hope Perry has been working on some plugs

Not much in the way of modelling. Taking a break for I've turned my shop into Santa's workshop. Making X-mas presents now instead of planes

BUT, I'll be back at it with the layup of the Martin Mars right after the holidays.

Flying Foam

To those who may be interested in building one of these B-29's, but don't have a foam cutter...

I just got a quote from Bob at FlyingFoam.com, and for the wing cores and two fuse pieces it will cost about $100.00 shipped. This price may change because I only gave him a verbal description of the parts. I am willing to work with FlyingFoam or any other foam cutter to provide templates or DXF files.

Let me know if your interested.

-Jim

Jim,

I would be very interested in a semi-kit. Please let me know once you have more information.

Thanks,
Dirk
