Show us your fleet!

Hi - I'm always keen to see the mixture of aircraft that people have in their fleet - here's mine, looking forward to seeing others...

1. GWS F-4U Corsair - earliest aircraft, lots of fun and takes a fair amount of abuse
(2015-5300, 9x7.5, geared at 5.5:1, 1500mAH, 25A ESC)

2. E-Flite Edge 540 - learning to 3D, has been a bit fiddly to get dialed in, but starting to make progress
(2025-4200, 12x6, geared at 6.6:1, 2150mAH, 30A ESC)

3. Hyperion Sukhoi 31 - great for classic sports flying, needs to fly fast though (flaperons for landing helps a lot)
(Z2213-20, 10x5 direct drive, 1500mAH, 20A ESC)

4. Alfa F-6 Sabre - wow!!! fast low altitude passes, large loops
(Hyperion 5000kV, 1800mAH, 30A ESC all supplied via Mark at ExtremeRC)

what else is out there?

My fleet made compact(ish)

And the scary thing is - there is more than what is in the picture!

I'm preparing to move in a fortnight and have been busy consolidating my workshop / hanger into the pile pictured below. In addition to what you see is another Alula (the one pictured belongs to a friend, as does the Carbon Kestral), a balsa mini glider, a 3D foamy, a sorta-IFO and a cabin fuselage which belongs to the red wing on the wall. There is also another 3D foamy kit and a QFII kit waiting to be built. And a slope glider which lives at my in-laws and another Hobbyzone Outlaw at my parent's place. Oh and an X-Twin and a Piccoz If they count.

In amongst the pile you can see such likes as a Twin Star "Classic", a speed 400 glider, a 100" glider (Optima - flies very well), 2 Pibros (is that pibrii?), Simple 400 pylon trainer, the slow stick as modified for camera work, the Easy Box, a GWS Dragonfly chopper, a couple of kites, another foamy, the original hobbyzone outlaw hiding in there and other bits and pieces.

That's 22 aircraft at my rough count. There could be more - I keep losing count! I've only been playing this game for around 5 years (and have owned other aircraft which have since been passed on).

This is mine, just had a chance to build some racks over the holidays.

From top left:
  • Twinjet
  • Pico Tigermoth
  • Minibee flying wing
  • Phoenix flying wing/jet
From top right
  • Twinstar II
  • Toccata EPP 3D
  • HET F18 EDF
  • Brio 10
  • Magic 3D

On the bench underneath are some helis including my T-rex 450. Every model in the picture is brushless with lipos, generally with more power than is sensible.

I have to put all mine together for a photo, and would have to do that outside.......and I just finished washing two real aircraft, so I can't be bothered.
CAP235, Pitts, Christen eagle, DH88 comet, Biglift, Ash26, Pawnee, Spectra, EPP PC9 x2, EPP Eraser x2, Decathlon, C182 and a couple of electrafuns. apart from the spectra and electrafuns and EPP gliders, they are all big glow stuff. the Ash is the 3.3Mtr glass.
I guess you can't call plans and stacks of wood a plane, but I have a heap of wood that will soon be a really big Pawnee.

And just so I win the ultimate toybox competition..... I have a 180HP, STOL kitted Cessna 172 and a Cessna 310 in the hanger.

This room used to be the theatre room, but we moved all the AV gear out into another smaller room so it could be used as my hobby room. So you see, I have to try and do the right thing.

Toccata is a calm weather flyer only for me, it just isn't enjoyable to fly a floater in any wind. I have had this since I started 2 and a bit years ago and if there is no wind it is the first plane I want to fly. Loops in it's own length, as long as you are higher than 3 feet off the ground you can loop it and stay below eye level. It has the best vertical of any of my planes. I crash it at least twice every time I fly it, trying something new or stupid, and the worst that happens is a broken prop.
