Long Range Radio
Hello everybody, I saw few thread about new technologies for improving the TX maximum range (with 2.4ghz) but there is so much to read and I don't have so much time.
What I need is a TX to video pilot my aircraft as far as possible just to be able to film something else that my flyzone.
What should I buy?
Thanx a lot!

If you are going to have line-of-sight, most any mainline TX and RX will be fine. If you do not have line-of-sight, I have no suggestions.

Zag... a person with only 7 posts asking about a "fly beyond direct sight" or "fly by video" system on an RC hobbyist board is going to raise a lot of questions.
Who are you?
Where are you?
What are you really trying to do? (Air Photo? Pipeline Patrol? Video? Still? What size aircraft? What duration? What Range? and much more)
Tell us more...

Thanx guys for your replies.
My name is Roberto.. or zaGURUinzaSKY and I come in peace!
I'm really going to do video piloting for the real estate industry and tourism industry in my country , video most of all.
I do pictures with my RC helicopter and with real helicopter (I'm a professional photographer). I'm also going to do chase camera aircraft with my formation flight team for airshows.
I have a 63" balsa predator and I'm deciding to get a Moviestar or a Twinstar from Multiplex.
Duration.. let's say 10/15 minutes minimum.
Range of 2Km should be fine, anything over would be great but not necessary.
I have several hunder hours of virtual aerobatic formation flight where we normally use head tracking to control the views and I'm very used to it, actually I don't know how to fly without it.. check my team website if ya want http://www.iat-aerobatic.com , if you go in the team page and look for the pilot "IAT #1 zaGURUinzaSKY" you can read more info about me.
I have more than 4000 flights experience in professional aerial photography but I'm totally new in video piloting.

Last summer, I flew this plane glitch free at an altitude of 1.8km. I used a robbe futaba FC18 and a PCM reciever. Be sure to use either an autopilot that is switched on with failsave or a plane that cannot be desintegrated in the air.
