How do I tune my OS FP .40 *NEWBIE ALERT*

Im a beginner flyer....been to the field several times, but Ive always been kinda clueless about tuning my engine and would like some advice. Like the subject says, its an OS FP .40

I cant ever seem to get it right, because its always choking out and dying. So how do I use the needle valve thing to tune it?

The sticky has very good advice. Just remember that for adjusting the idle, your engine has an airbleed carb rather than twin needle. This means that leaning the idle involves opening the airbleed screw, and richening closing it. This is the opposite of the high speed needle, which you close to lean.

Matthew

EDIT: Do you have the manual for your engine? If you don't I can send you it as a .pdf.
