Mill Hill Gliding New Years Day?

Hi all, just to let you know that David and I will be slope soaring on Mill Hill in Shoereham tomorrow (Sat 30th) and anyone interested will be welcome.
David will maiden his new all glass glider, I will have the Halloween and my scale Swift aerobatic machine.

Having had the water pump pack up on my car over Xmas I should have it back first thing in the morning.

Cheers for now folks,

Gray

PPS. I'll also be bringing my Wildthing EPP slope combat machine .... which I think I should rename the Obesething as it's such a pig in the air!

Yup I shall be ringing Gray at 9 and leaving straight away (if he gives me the all-clear .... I'm praying he does as I've been looking forward to maidening my Espresso for weeks!! ) .... takes about an hour to get to him from here.

Not sure whether we'll meet on Mill Hill or meet at his house ..... 'tis something I will ask him tomorrow morning before I leave. I will post the outcome here (assuming you haven't already left, Alex).

'Night all!

It wasn't too bad actually . It started off quite nice, although the wind kept veering off the slope (and it was coming across the slope at times). We left the slope at about 1 when the wind was just too lumpy and off-the-slope to fly ....

But I successfully maidened the Espresso!!

Gotta dash now .... I'm sure Gray will fill in

Cheers,

David

We had a few hours flying before the wind went round to a southerly direction and the threat of rain prompted us to move to the comfort of my place. We downloaded Mill Hill scenery from the Reflex web site, works very well and quite realistic.

David had a successful maiden flight.

We are thinking of having another go tomorrow (Monday). The winds are forecast to be WSW at about 20 MPH.
Again anyone is welcome!

Well yesterday was absolutely AMAZING! I was up on the hill from about 10am to 4pm and the wind was more or less perfect the whole time! I got loads of flying in with the Espresso and my Wildthing, and I chickened out and gave into temptation by buying another Wildthing .... A Mk3 as opposed to my Mk1 .... flies so much better though

Unfortunately my Espresso had a prang when I had a radio glitch at a very unfortunate moment .... sending it hurtling into some dense bushes

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...=576416&page=6

But as you will read I should have the repaired wing back within this week ......

There's also a link to some footage of my Espresso in the air, thanks to Gray
