Iron on covering vs. fiberglass

I am just getting my HOB P51 .20size Mustang framed up. I was planning on going with monokote on everything but now that I see the tail feathers and fuse are fully sheeted, it has me wondering about figerglass. Is it heavier to fiberglass than Monokote? the wing will still be covered with film but with the extra weight of retracts and flaps, i was looking to shed a little weight. i have plenty of experience with film, glass, and scratch building but i have never really done a comparison on weight. let me know what you guys think.
