Can you give an approx duration on 2200 pack with your motor ESC, based on say the B certicate schedule; are we looking over 10 mins or less?

This post goes back a bit but seems has just come back to life, I nearly bought one of these about 6 months but due to the complete void of information available about them didn't.
If anybody has any feedback on these would be good !!!!

Hi Pottflyer, the 2200mah is more than sufficient for the B test, so long as you know the schedule inside out! but I would personally pick something with a lower wing loading for this test; the Edge with this battery comes in very hot!! could be a problem if there is little/no wind. But I have had flights personally of 9.5 minutes (spektrum timer) doing the B test schedule ( and a few circuits/high speed passes on the same battery. Hope this helps

Just FYI, I have have a few incidents with this airframe reference the landing gear with a 2200mah lipo .......in the end, I reinforced the liteply stab with another piece of lightply, grooved and drilled to fit over the original stab, and used Tightbond to fix in place, with this lipo the wing loading is quite high, so if you're not 100% with landing a very quick model, use an 1850/1800mah lipo. to lower the wing loading

I highly suggest for investment toward a 3s 1320mah LiPo pack instead of 3s 2100 or 2200. On the OMS (One Meter Series), gross weight is critical. The smaller battery pack will provide much supperior performance, but not reducing the flying time by much (around 25%).

I know several places reviewed and recommended 2100 packs. Like I recommended, the airplane will be AWSOME with 3s 1320 or thereabout. I promise you will see and feel a huge difference.

We use 4 x HS-55... Our gross weight is 1.60lb. We have also used 4s setup. Either way, at WOT with 10x4.7SF static, we recorded 248-250 Watts.

CLARIFICATION: we have updated to OMS Yak-54 version 2 late last year. The pics earlier is version one. The most obvious difference is the one piece wing in the version 1. Version 2 has 2 seperate wings and no bellypan.
