More information on this plane?
Hello all,
I took a little time to dig up as much information on this little gem. If my venture back into the Mini Funtana X goes well, I may add this to my fleet too. Right now the fleet is very, very small and will stay that way as most all my hobby money goes to skydiving right now. However, these are a great outlet for when I can't go or when I'm waiting on a load, etc. My request; if you have any more threads, videos, pictures, etc. please let me know and I'll update them. In time it would be great if somebody would take off with this thread and do a nice detailed build. Time and $$ permitting I'll do it if it's not been done yet. Regards, Bill K. |

Now I'm torn between this and the QuiQue's new 49" Yak which is supposed to be here in Feb. Bill K, it's not listed on Fedon's site, have you heard anything about a release date? Azarr www.ecubedrc.com |

The contact for this plane is a gentleman named Luigi Fedon. He told me that he will be the exclusive distributor for this plane in the North and South Americas. As far as availablity he is expecting a container to clear customs sometime next week.
As far as the recommended motors go here is what they recommend per there manual: Hacker A30-12L with a APC 13 x 6.5e or: Hacker A30-14L with a APC 14 x 7e Tim |

After doing some more research, I must agree, the 16M, would not be enough for this appliction. The EF Yak's are coming in around the 40oz mark as well and they are using the: Torque 2814-820 which is stated to be a 500+ watt motor. The A30-10XL looks like it would be a good starting place. It's 1.25oz heavier, which I have a feeling might come in handy, but it also puts out another 100 watt's on the same prop and battery specs. Both motors may actually be good options in this plane. However until somebody gets one and can weigh the parts and see it's really hard to tell. 2814-820 Specs (courtesy of www.atlantahobby.com)

Amazed
I step out of the hobby, well, side line it to a degree for 9-12 months and I'm blown away by how much new stuff has come out and how far the technology has continued to move forward; simply amazing. I can remember 2-3 years ago, talking about planes this size, but nobody was doing it yet, now they are becoming the norm. I think size and weight wise they are prefect for the most common flying conditions that we see. I mean after all, when we ever see a totally calm day. Ok, I'm rambling now, with nothing useful to say, so I'll shut up...
