new ds airfoils for extreme DS speed
Hi guys,
I developed several airfoils whick could be well suited for top ds speeds. The DP-airfoils are made for extreme top speed DS-sessions (Re = 1.000.000 - 2.000.000). They are thick and damm fast. If you will use them for a normal F3B or F3F soarer you will be disappointed. The design has a much longer laminar flow than the DS-19 which is used by Brian McLean's Extreme. This should lead to a remarkable higher top DS-speed. The airfoils can be used by every private person. A commercial use is restricted by the designers copyright. If a commercial use is desired or someone needs a different design for a different task please contact dirk.pflug@bluetrust.de If you have build a soarer with one of these airfoils please contact me to tell me your flying impressions. If you are interested in a substantial support for a complete DS-soarer by my person or if you have any remarks to the airfoils please contact me. But I just found out that I don´t know how to insert the *.dat files. Does anybody knows how to insert them? Dirk Pflug |

Welcome to RC Groups, Dirk.
I've been a fan of your DP 1.89/7.83 section for a while now and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your airfoils. For some reason .DAT and .COR files will not upload here but you can drop the coordinates in Notepad and post them as a .txt file. Tony D. |

Hi Tony,
good to here that you have a lot of fun with the DP 1.89/7.83 section. I´ll try to post my DS airfoils in a text file. These airfoils are for realy high DS speed. For F3F, F3B a different design is necessary. So do not use them to "replace" the DP 1.89/7.83. Dirk |
