Cool
Lioré & Olivier H-24

hello
a very nice video about the Lioré & Olivier H-24 (Leo H-24), first hydroplane of the Air France company :
http://www.lesitevideo.net/cat/algier.html

Also on the page you will find a very detailed PDF (pictures, 3-views and history...)

Did someone already built this great plane ?

Enjoy

Merci

Rafa thanks. I love this stuff you've dug up on the French sites. Ive been to Marseille and flown over that stretch of coast and the old Hydrodrome when visiting friends who live there and work for Aerospatiale.
Please can I or you plug this into the Resources thread I started .............and any other stuff you can turn up on the French sites......Google doesn't find this stuff if your just searching in English, but the online translator works well enough to translate the Web pages in French.
I would like to perhaps create a French section ....one of my favourites French designs is the LEO H47 -PBY meets Dornier Seagull with a touch of the Joules Verne about it with all that central glazing. The others are the Bre Nautilus and the the last of the big Latecore boats.
I'm in regular contact with another Brit who now lives in Limousin.........hes working on the Supermarine 381 Seagull from Traplet plans to fly from his local lakes.

Well You've already been to http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...t=448080&pp=15 either I can add these in with an edit or you can add a section and if we can make it worthy of a Sticky thread all the better .............separate entries without a theme tend to get lost and People on dial up have real trouble searching ......A short description is a important part of any entry as it gives them a chance to decide if its worth trying making the next jump/download
I try to keep images small or to a minimum on those pages as it makes the page slow to load for them when all they want is to get back to the next link.

Half Throttle -Paul is from Limousin they run a B&B ... but if you PM him or Email him and introduce yourself hes retired to France with his family and is a former British Model Flyer's Association, flying instructor/examiner.
He might be grateful for some advice on where to shop locally

For the Supermarine Seagull 381 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=474190

Bonjour Rafa

I'm in St. Sulpice Lauriere, not far away from Bellac.

We have a lovely lake here and they've just banned fishing there so it's ALL MINE!!!! lol

I'm just about to start building the Supermarine Seagull and need to know which PVA glue (available in France) is fully waterproof.

Merci

French avalon

Hello Paul
My parents live in Luchapt, at 30 kms of Bellac, and i live in Paris. That's pretty amazing and i hope we will be able to meet next spring !!! I regret i don't go there often because of the busy life in Paris ... But i still miss the fields and the trees ...

I am not an expert and the pby you may have seen is my first scratch build.
I use 3 types of glue :
- Araldite 90 Seconds,
- UHU vinylic white glue (extra strong),
- Cyano glue (very fast)

Tha araldite work is completely waterproof.

Best regards

raphael

oh oh ! ....... I feel an Anglo-French waterplane event coming on, nes pa ? Laddie, John Campbell has fitted a gas turbine to a Northstar with excellent results and has flown it a couple of waterplane events here in Scotland. There is a small pic in AMI (Jan `07 issue) but I`m chasing-up more on it and will post here soon.
