Corona Blade Grip Question

In the instructions for building the Corona it tells you to use one #4 blade grip and a #6 blade grip. Won't this cause the blades to not track the same? Is the construction manual wrong? Why did they suggest this combination instead of using the same number blade grip?

Thanks in advance.

Jason,

6,6 grip gives you more lift as compare to 6,4grip and 4,4 grip, at a particular head speed. However, 4,4 grip is more stable than others, since the head speed is higher. I would recommend 4,4 grip if you are new to heli. The recommended 6,4 grip give you something in between.
You will also find how to adjust the blade pitch at P5-4 of the operator manual. Hope this help.

Jason,

As Eric mentioned, the manual tells you how to adjust the tracking so that the blades are tracking each other... with a 4-6 grip combo, you end up adjusting the blade on the 4 grip to have a bit more pitch and adjusting the blade on the 6 grip to have a bit less pitch so that they end up at a average of 5 degrees (not including the 2 degrees built into the blade holders) and in track.

I too like the 4-4 grip combo better than the 4-6 for the reasons Eric cited.

Later!

Thanks guys,

Guess I'll give the 4 4 grip a shot next time I fly it.
