1st Annual T.I.N.Y. Fly-In * Feb. 10-11, 2007 * San Angelo, Texas

Fly-In and Challenge

Angelo RC Inc. is proud to present the first annual Texas Indoor New Years Fly-In and Challenge.

With one of the biggest venues offered for an indoor event in the Southwest, and our famous Texas hospitality, this promises to be a lot of fun for pilots of all levels. There will be on premises concessions, and plenty of pit area with ample electrical outlets. The floor of the coliseum is 100’ by 200’ with a 65’ minimum ceiling rig height. We will have a 16oz/3s limit on all models, carbon fiber rotor blades (main or tail) on helicopters are prohibited, and AMA membership is required to fly. There will be a $10 landing fee for the entire weekend which will include 5 raffle tickets. We are looking forward to seeing all our old friends and making some new ones too.

T.I.N.Y. Challenge
On Saturday, we will have an open contest starting at 7pm. Entry Fee is $15. This is a known sequence and can be viewed here.

Pics

Here are some pics of the venue. The AstroTurf and boards will not be installed at this event. Just 20,000 sq. feet of smooth concrete. We should be able to fly some on Friday night before the event. We will let you know what time flying will start prior to the event.

Great, thanks! That's not a bad drive at all, especially to fly in a place like that!

I've flown in this venue at the San Angelo club event, and it is an awesome place to fly. We'll definitely be set up there as vendors and we'll have some raffle prizes. This club is friendly and laid-back and this should be a great time.

Rich (and to all others) I will be going out today to try and find an "event hotel" to see if I can get a group rate of some sort. We will post the findings, and also a list of motels for the area. We have a wide array of lodging available here from Motel 6 and up. Something for every budget. We have campgrounds too for the RV crowd. Will let you guys know as we know!
