What other battery choices are there?

I want to substitute a lighter motor pack for the 14, Sanyo 2000's that I have in the Tiger Moth. I also want more duration than the CP-1300's give; and less weight than the CP-1700's...ideally, less weight than CP-1300's.

Current draw is the highest at takeoff, and looping...30 amps. My current draw averages 14-15 amps, usually less than that, judging by the same power system in other models (I have not flown this Tiger Moth yet).

Are there other cell types that can take occassional periods of 30 amps, for no more than 30 seconds, that give duration the equivalent of 2000 mah NiCd cells...but with less weight? Maybe paralleled LIon packs?

Thanks in advance,

Terry
