tiny wireless video camera?

Have seen that camera around for quite some time and I have not find good enough reason for me to shell out $329 for it.
My 2.4Ghz Tx/Rx with CCD camera system seems to be performing quite well. Have you seen my videos yet? Check out my site.

I've been playing with one for several months now and I'd say the range with the suggested reciever is lacking for aircraft use.The reciever is very sensitive to tune , as you have to turn a pot to tune in the signal . The unit does not like to be moved arround either, it would seem that the 2.4 GHZ models have the advantage off of the shelf. I've ran mine of the 10 cell motor pack and it worked the same as the 9 volt battery. I'm going to try some higher gain reciever antennas but that will mean getting somewhat directional.

Q, Supercircuits reccomends the AVX900t4 transmitter for RC use. It is 900mhz fm and it weighs about .75 ounce. I have the AVX900T4 moddel witch is the same but larger. It works really well and I have got clear pictures from over 1500 ft. This with just a short vert. antenna on the receiver and transmitter. The receiver is freq. locked so there is no drift or any tuning.
You need a Ham tech class license but it is very easy to get now days.

Does it have pretty good image quality, etc....?
It says that it runs off a standard 9V battery, I'm trying to figure out if a lighter battery could be found to work with it, or even run it off the flight battery if possible.

Or does anyone have any other suggestions for a camera thats under 2oz approx.?

Here is a list to enlighten everyone interested in doing wireless video.
Quick description: LS kit wts 136gm $40. Add Radio and 15min Battery 217gm $170. Add xcam2 camera, X10-Tx and 15 min Battery 280gm and $300. Swap a better CCD camera, 284gm $410. Adding X-Y swivel camera control hardware, 303gm $480.

You can stop anywhere on the list that you feel comfortable.

That assumes you have Tx radio and charger, etc. When ready, I will post this on my web with pictures.

I just tried a newer CCD DSP brightness self-adjust camera and it works great. Run off 4.5-6v. Glass lens and real cheap.

I have not post any of the newer cheaper CCD color cam yet. Most of what you have seen so far is from the Pana cam CX16153P.
The Pixera cam is heavier and bigger but $60 cheaper. Is that enough detail?

The video quality is just as good as the pana cam. The PCboard increased size is annoying. The DSP on board does a good job in white balancing or exposure control. The focus is much sharper than the Pana cam.

I got the Pixera from Halted store locally here( PXG-200 ) for $50. It has a dc-dc convertor built-in. If it is 9-12v I mightbe able to get rid of my Pt5041N.

I checked out getting a Ham license. I take it that all we need nowadays for using 900mhz is the Technician?
