Ok I got my kit on friday and I started it yesterday! WOW this kit goes together quick and its so straight forward. the plane can be built with or without Ailerons. Im going to build the no Aileron version first I might order another kit for spare parts as Hobby people have them for sale for about $25.00 right now. (GWS SLOWSTICK OWNERS MIGHT BY ONE JUST TO SEE IF THE WING COULD BE USED ON THERE PLANE) here are the pictures so far.

Tallflyer ++ got a couple questions..

1 what is the fuse dimensions ?? i.e. SS is 10 mm.

2 can u compare it against the SS ??

seems to me that it much much more work to put together than the SS, and maybe
the only advantage over the SS would be the wings, for easier flying in wind, but
than not as slow as the SS ??

Crashed Again

The wasp is not going to be a slow flyer like SLOWSTICK! But since it has a solid wing will be better in the wind! Only time will tell about how easy she is to fly!

Im going to mount my 5 in 1 camera on her for her madian so you can see video from the plane (I love doing this as I can see whats gong on after Im done flying also so stay tunned!

actually, people say it does fly like a slowstick, but less twitchy and handles the wind a little better, and with 378 sq inches of wing on a 16 ounce plane, i would say its definitely in the slowflyer category... here is another thread on it.... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...t=584140&pp=30

She flys great I will post video as soon as I can Not quit the floater the Slowstick is but a great plane for the price!

She kinda flys like a Estarter!

I went with a bp12 outrunner and a 18 amp dualsky brushless esc. battery is a 2 cell 1200 lipo 7.4 volt prop is a gws 1047,1147 both work great plane will even fly good on a 1080 gws slowfly prop! dont neeed the punch of a 11 volt 3 cell Like to use this plane as a slowflying fun plane something I can put my 5 i 1 camera on for so cool video!

Images View all Images in thread Views: 165 The Hobby People Wasp Electric Parkflyer Views: 289 Hardware package right out of the box(notice plywood parts are preassembled) you even get a roll of red wing tape that is used to cover the elevator and rudder and wing surface. Views: 211 wings are made out of a solid eps foam same kind of material that you would find on a gws estarter type wing the elevator and rudder are made out of light weight foamboard. Views: 181 step 1 is to glue the wing mounts to the mail pre assembled air frame with thin CA glue Views: 172 I lighty sanded the rods so the ca would stick better (then glued them in place) Views: 177 then the landing gear is installed and a small spacer is added to keep it in place (note make sure that the gear is straight then glue in the gear using some 5 minute epoxy and the little wood brace) Views: 207 Now install the carbon rod measure and mark 5 7/8 this is how much the rod is to stick out the front of the frame. Views: 199 Once you have got it in the right position glue in place using thin CA

Images View all Images in thread Views: 181 The next step is to cover the Elevator pieces top and bottom witht e red tape( before you do that make sure to lighty sand the edges andmake them smoth) also the instructions say to sand two 45 degre angles on the back edge of front piece of both the elev Views: 177 tape in place and pieces trimmed! Views: 154 Rudder done the same way Views: 171 I glue all my hinges to one side first and then use the glued hinges as a template to mark the other side for cutting! Views: 177 Pieces hinged and ready for the next step! Views: 173 the elevator and rudder brace is then CA glued to the carbon fuselage. Views: 171 the rudder test fitted to make sure it all lines up!(remove covering from foam in the area where it is to be glued for better and stronger joints) Views: 185 A shot from the bottom
